Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 8, 2026•Last Updated: June 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Rollur, LLC and its affiliates ("Rollur," "we," "us," or "our") collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you access or use our website at rollur.com, our mobile and web applications, and the related services, tools, and features we provide (collectively, the "Services"). Rollur operates an online marketplace that connects homeowners and property owners ("you" or "Users") with independent painting service providers and owner-operators ("Owner-Operators") for residential and commercial painting estimates, bookings, and project fulfillment.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Services.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect through the Services and through your communications and interactions with us, including by phone, email, and text message. It does not apply to information collected by third parties, including Owner-Operators, payment processors, or other third-party services that maintain their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party before providing them with your information.
The Services are intended for users located in the United States. We do not direct the Services to, or knowingly collect information from, individuals outside the United States.
2. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in several ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information we receive from third parties.
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
We collect the information you choose to provide when you use the Services, including when you request an estimate, create an account, book a project, communicate with us, or opt in to receive messages. This may include:
- Contact and account information — your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or property address, and account login credentials.
- Project information — details about your painting project, including the property type, the rooms, surfaces, or exterior areas to be painted, measurements, scope selections, color preferences, scheduling preferences, and any notes you provide.
- Photographs and video of your property — images and video you upload or capture through the Services depicting the interior or exterior areas relevant to your project (described further in Section 2.2).
- Payment information — information necessary to process deposits and payments. Payment card details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor and are described in Section 2.3.
- Communications — the contents of messages, emails, call records, support requests, reviews, and other communications you send to us or to Owner-Operators through the Services.
- Marketing and preference information — your communication preferences and consents, including your consent to receive text messages or marketing communications.
2.2 Project and Property Documentation
A core function of the Services is the capture, organization, and storage of photographs, video, and related documentation of your property before, during, and after a painting project. This documentation supports accurate estimates, scheduling, quality control, dispute resolution, and a verifiable record of completed work. When you submit or capture this content through the Services, you understand and agree that:
- The images and video you provide may depict the interior and exterior of your property and items located there, and you are responsible for excluding any content you do not wish to share;
- This content, together with associated information such as timestamps, project identifiers, and (where applicable and with your permission) location metadata, is collected and retained as part of your project record;
- We may make this content available to the assigned Owner-Operator and authorized personnel for the purpose of preparing estimates, performing the work, and conducting quality review.
Color visualizer. The Services include a color-visualization feature that lets you preview paint colors applied to images of your own space. When you use this feature, the images you submit are processed — by Rollur and by third-party processing providers acting on our behalf — to generate color previews and renderings. These images and the resulting previews are handled in accordance with this Policy, including the automated-processing practices described in Section 4.
This documentation is processed through Rollur's proprietary project-documentation technology and supporting infrastructure. The methods, systems, and components we use to capture, organize, and analyze project documentation are confidential and proprietary to Rollur and are not disclosed through this Policy.
2.3 Payment Information
We use a third-party payment processor (Stripe) to handle deposits and payments made through the Services. When you make a payment, your payment card and billing information is collected and processed directly by the payment processor under its own privacy policy and security standards. Rollur does not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited transaction information, such as the last four digits of a card, the transaction amount, the authorization status, and the date of the transaction, to administer bookings, deposits, refunds, and our marketplace fees.
2.4 Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device and technical information — IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and similar technical data.
- Usage information — pages and screens you view, links you click, features you use, the dates and times of your interactions, referring URLs, and other activity within the Services.
- Cookies and similar technologies — information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, as described in Section 6.
- Approximate location information — general location derived from your IP address, and, where you grant permission, more precise location information from your device to support project location and scheduling.
2.5 Information We Receive From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third parties, including:
- Owner-Operators and service providers who interact with you in connection with a project;
- Referral partners, such as real estate professionals, property managers, and community associations, who refer you to the Services (where permitted);
- Advertising and social media platforms, analytics providers, and similar partners that provide us with aggregated or interaction-based information; and
- Service providers who help us verify information, prevent fraud, or operate the Services.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including generating estimates, processing bookings, and facilitating projects between you and Owner-Operators;
- To process deposits, payments, refunds, and marketplace fees;
- To capture, organize, and maintain project documentation and to perform quality control and dispute resolution;
- To communicate with you about your account, estimates, bookings, project status, completion notices, and customer support requests;
- To send you text messages and other communications you have consented to receive, including transactional and, where permitted, marketing messages;
- To personalize and improve the Services, develop new features, and conduct analytics, research, and product development;
- To market and promote the Services, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and deliver relevant content and offers;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, abuse, and other harmful or unlawful activity; and
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
4. Automated Processing and Artificial Intelligence
The Services use software automation and artificial intelligence to help generate estimates, support customer interactions, organize project documentation, power our color-visualization feature, and improve our offerings. To provide these features, certain inputs you submit — such as project details, text you enter, and images of your property — may be processed by Rollur's systems and by trusted third-party technology providers that supply processing capabilities on our behalf.
We require these providers to handle information consistent with applicable law and contractual protections. Where feasible, we limit, aggregate, or de-identify the information used to develop and improve our automated and analytical features. Estimates and outputs generated through automation are provided to assist you and may be reviewed, adjusted, or finalized by Rollur or the assigned Owner-Operator.
5. Text Messaging (SMS) Program and Consent
Rollur offers a text-messaging (SMS) program so we can communicate with you about estimates, bookings, project updates, and — if you choose — promotions and offers. This Section, together with our Terms of Service, governs your participation in our SMS program. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.1 Your Consent
By providing your mobile telephone number to Rollur and opting in — for example, by submitting your number through a form that discloses our SMS practices, checking a consent box, or texting us a keyword — you agree to receive text messages from or on behalf of Rollur at the number you provided. These messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency varies.
Transactional messages (such as estimate confirmations, booking details, scheduling and completion notices, and customer-service replies) are sent in connection with your use of the Services. Marketing or promotional messages are sent only where you have provided the consent required by applicable law, and you may opt out of marketing messages at any time as described below.
5.2 Opting Out and Help
You may opt out of the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and will no longer send you SMS messages unless you opt back in. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information in Section 15.
5.3 Costs
Message and data rates may apply to any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging or data plan. Rollur does not charge for the SMS program, but your carrier's standard rates and fees will apply.
5.4 How We Treat Mobile Opt-In Information
We do not sell or rent mobile telephone numbers collected for the SMS program. We do not share your mobile opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. We may share your mobile number with service providers who help us operate the SMS program (such as messaging platform vendors) solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
5.5 Contact Number for the SMS Program
SMS Program Number: 1-855-7-ROLLUR (1-855-776-5587).
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Services, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and deliver and measure advertising. This may include analytics services and advertising technologies provided by third parties such as social media and advertising platforms, which may set their own cookies and collect information about your activity over time and across different websites and services.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings, and many browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. You may also be able to opt out of certain interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), and through the settings offered by individual advertising platforms. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Services.
7. How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as described in this Policy, including with the following categories of recipients:
- Owner-Operators and service providers — to facilitate your estimate, booking, and project, we share relevant information (such as your name, contact details, property address, project details, and project documentation) with the assigned Owner-Operator and their authorized personnel.
- Payment processors — to process deposits, payments, refunds, and fees.
- Technology and infrastructure providers — including hosting, cloud storage, messaging, analytics, and the processing providers described in Section 4, who act on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Advertising and analytics partners — to help us understand usage and to deliver and measure advertising, as described in Section 6.
- Professional advisors and authorities — such as lawyers, accountants, and regulators, and where we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, in which case personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
- With your direction or consent — when you ask us to share your information or otherwise consent to the sharing.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
8. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information for Money
Rollur does not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Certain uses of advertising and analytics technologies described in Section 6 may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising under some state privacy laws. Where those laws apply, you have the right to opt out of such sharing as described in Section 11. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites, applications, and services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party you interact with.
10. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain project records and documentation, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for other legitimate business purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to the information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, to request a portable copy, to opt out of certain processing such as targeted advertising or "sale" or "sharing," and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
11.1 California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may provide you with rights to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and certain uses of sensitive personal information. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To exercise your rights, contact us as described in Section 15.
11.2 Florida Residents
If you are a Florida resident, the Florida Digital Bill of Rights may, where applicable, provide rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and certain profiling. To exercise your rights, contact us as described in Section 15.
11.3 Other States
Residents of other states with applicable privacy laws may have similar rights. We will honor verifiable requests to the extent required by the laws applicable to you. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where permitted.
11.4 How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a privacy request using the contact information in Section 15. To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email. To opt out of marketing text messages, reply STOP as described in Section 5. You may manage cookies and interest-based advertising as described in Section 6.
12. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for responding to these signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
